How to fill out and submit a rental inquiry, the bot verification step, and what happens after you submit

Submitting an Inquiry

Once your Crate is ready, you can submit a rental inquiry to the business. The inquiry is a request, not a confirmed booking. The rental company reviews it and follows up with you directly.

The inquiry form

Click Submit inquiry from the Crate panel to open the inquiry form. You will need to enter:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Notes (optional) - anything you want the business to know about your rental

Your start and end dates and the items you selected carry over from the Crate automatically.

What happens after you submit

The rental company will review your inquiry and contact you to confirm dates, pricing, and any other details. The business does not have a fixed response time commitment set by HotCrate. Response times are up to them.

If your submission is blocked

Your inquiry may be blocked at submission if:

  • Items are no longer available for your dates. The catalog checks availability at the moment you submit. If another inquiry for the same items and dates was submitted just before yours, you will see a message like "Only 2 of 'Sound System' available for those dates." Adjust your quantities or dates and try again.
