Can't Sign In
HotCrate sign-in is at hotcrate.app/login.
How sign-in works
HotCrate supports two sign-in methods:
Email code (default): Enter your email address and click Send code. A 6-digit one-time code is sent to your inbox. Enter the code to sign in. The code expires after a short window.
Email and password: Click the option to switch to password login, then enter your email and password. If you have not set a password, use the email code method instead.
Common issues
Did not receive the code email
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Wait up to a minute - email delivery can be slow depending on your provider.
- If the Resend button is available (the 60-second cooldown has passed), click it to request a new code.
Code says it is invalid or expired
Codes expire. If you waited too long before entering it, request a new one using the Resend button (available after 60 seconds).
Too many requests
If you have requested multiple codes in a short period, you will see a rate-limit message. Wait a minute and try again.
Wrong email or password
If you use password login and see "Invalid email or password", verify your email address and try again. To reset your password, click Forgot password - a reset link will be sent to your email.
Redirected away from sign-in unexpectedly
If you visit the sign-in page while already signed in, HotCrate redirects you automatically to the app.
